In the art classroom 3rd-8th graders learn the foundational tools of art and develop their creative thinking skills.  This year we will be looking at and talking about all kinds of art, both historical and contemporary, from cultures all over the world.  We will be learning how to use different materials and experimenting with new and old art media.  Students will learn the importance of art and how to communicate and express themselves through visual artmaking.  We invite you to follow what we are doing in the art classroom!  You can see photos of student work and descriptions of projects at our new Mark Twain art blog :
